Report

Roscommon and Sligo won most Connacht Senior Championship titles between them from 1952 to 1973. Roscommon won most of the championships in the early days, with Sligo winning their first title (as is currently known) in 1963, before winning three-in-a-row from 1968 to 1970. Galway had a sole victory in 1967.

About

The Amateur Basketball Association of Ireland (now Basketball Ireland) was the organisation in charge of running Basketball in Ireland from 1947 to 1979 when it changed its name to the Irish Basketball Association.

From 1953 to 1973 it was organised on a Club and County basis like the Gaelic Athletic association, and the All-Ireland Minor Championship was the Underage County Championship.
